Chassis

Our flexible off-the-shelf computing platforms can be readily configured to meet the processing, I/O, video and graphics needs of a variety of different applications.

Our platforms are based on open systems architectures, so they allow for technology insertion, and support the COTS concept.

 


CPCI Chassis

AVC-cPCI 3000 series provides a rugged, yet highly flexible COTS computing platform suited for mission applications requiring rock-solid reliability such as UAVs, booster vehicles, and ground vehicles. Manufactured using Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and milling, the aluminum alloy (6061-T6) is strong, lightweight, and resistant to EMI.

VME Chassis

AVC-VME 6000 series provides a rugged, yet highly flexible COTS computing platform suited for military aviation, civilian aviation, and other applications requiring rock-solid reliability such as UAVs, booster vehicles, and ground vehicles. Manufactured using Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and milling, the aluminum alloy (6061-T6) is strong, lightweight, and resistant to EMI. Instead of a wiring harness, the AVC reduces weight and increases reliability by using a lightweight printed circuit board (PCB) to route all internal I/O to the external front panel.

1/2 ATR

GE Fanuc Embedded Systems 1/2 ATR chassis provide the highest level of environmental protection combined with exceptional packing density and thermal performance. Boards are clamped in place using expanding screw driven wedgelock assemblies and cooling is entirely by conduction through internal chassis walls.

No cooling air passes over the boards themselves and as a result they are completely protected from airborne contaminants. Heat is extracted from the chassis by air or liquid being passed through sidewall heat exchangers or by conduction to a suitable cold-plate.
